In compliance with instructions I have the honor to submit the following semi annual Report of this institution.
During the half year which ended March 31st 1860. Twenty seven Shawnee children have attended this school of different ages from 7 to 17 years. They have been engaged according to age and advancement in the following studies Viz – Orthography, Reading, writing, English Grammar geography etc. etc. and when not in school the Girls have been engaged in sewing knitting and housewifery, they boys in chopping wood, feeding and taking care of the stock. They have made reasonable advancement in their studies and have probably learned more in the past half year than is usual than in the same length of time this is owing to their regular attendance, which until very recently has been much more regular than usual please find names of Scholars on next page. All of which is Respectfully submitted.
