Sir;

   The Shawnee Indians having expressed a desire that their school fund for the education of their children be disbursed to the Methodist Missionary Manual Labor School under the superintendency of the Revd. Thomas Johnson, you are authorized to pursue that course, but in fixing upon the sum to be allotted per capita it should be made to conform as near as practicable to the rates agreed upon with the Secretary of the Presbyterian Board of Foreign Missions.

Very Respectfully
