Mr. Stringfellow, the most ulta advocate of pro-slavery propagandism in in the West, at the instance of the friends of the Administration, was elected to the Speakership of the House of Representatives; and the Rev. Tom Johnson, of Shawnee Mission, who enjoys the unenviable notoriety of having first introduced negroslavery into Kansas proper—long before the Territory was opened—was elected by the same influence President of the Council. It is said that his sons are provided for, also.
