An annual tradition returns to the Shawnee Indian Mission just in time for the holidays! Beginning Friday, November 22, the beloved Tree and Greenery Sale will once again fill the Mission grounds with the scent of fresh evergreens, festive spirit, and community goodwill.

This cherished event benefits both the Shawnee Indian Mission Foundation and local Boy Scouts Troops, supporting preservation efforts at the historic site and helping fund local scouting programs. Each purchase directly contributes to maintaining the Mission’s buildings, educational programming, and community events, while also supporting the leadership and service goals of local scouts.

Visitors will find a beautiful selection of Fraser firs, wreaths, garlands, and greenery, all carefully sourced and ready to brighten homes for the season.

The Tree Sale has become more than a fundraiser.  It’s a holiday tradition for families who return year after year to select the perfect tree, enjoy the grounds, and celebrate community spirit at one of the area’s most treasured landmarks.

Come be part of this enduring tradition and take home more than a tree—take home a piece of history.  The sale starts on Saturday, November 22 and continues while supplies last.

All proceeds benefit the Shawnee Indian Mission Foundation and local Boy Scout Troops.
