Sept. 10th 1845

Hon. T. H. Crawford.

Dear Sir,

    According to your instructions I will give you a brief statement of our school for the first quarter of the year commencing Jan 1st 1845 There have been in regular attendance during this quarter one hundred and seven pupils thirty of which were females –

    The whole number of Delawares was thirty seven, fourteen of which were females.

Recapitulation.
No of Delaware children 37
  ”    ”  other Ind,       “ 70
Total – 107

    Our success for the past quarter has been very encouraging and our prospects for the future are good. The children and their parents show themselves well satisfied with our school and their desire for improvement gradually increases.
