Docent Program Training

November 9 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

The Shawnee Indian Mission Docent Program invites volunteers to serve as the welcoming face of the Mission. As a docent, you’ll greet visitors, provide essential background information and answer questions to help visitors gain a deeper understanding of the Mission’s history. You may also be trained to guide field trips and other related projects.

Volunteers play a key role in enhancing the self-guided tour experience, ensuring that all visitors leave with a richer appreciation of the site’s cultural significance.

No prior experience is required—just a passion for history and sharing knowledge.

Click here to register for the training and plan to join us!

If you have questions, please contact Sarah Dee (sarah@shawneeindianmission.org).
