Please join us again for our Spring Sale. Shop in person for Native Plants at the beautiful Mission. Pre-shop and pre-order through April 23 from Missouri Wildflower Nursery. Their online catalog will inform your selections. Please note/mention that you are ordering for the Mission when you order. Your purchase benefits the Mission as contributions are based on sales. This Spring, the Johnson County Parks will be providing beautiful native trees to homeowners for free for removing invasive callery pears (Bradford Pears) from their property.

Deep Roots has been a long-time partner to SIMF. Together with other partners, they work to increase native plant landscapes. They work to encourage appreciation, conservation and use of native plants in our area.

We are excited to partner with promotes specialty crops -native and introduced- grown for human consumption and for their value-added uses and products by growing them for seed and for nursery production, for the floral industry, landscaping and in conservation practices including those essential for pollinators’ survival.  Check out their work and plan to visit with them onsite.

You can purchase online ahead of time and pick up at the Shawnee Indian Mission.  Missouri Wildflowers Nursery grows and sells over 300 species to Missouri.  In addition to wildflowers, they offer native trees, shrubs, vines, grasses, sedges and ferns.  When you order ahead of time by April 23, be sure to mention the Mission.  A portion of the proceeds is donated to the SIMF.  You can call them at 573-496-3492 or visit their website:  https://mowildflowers.net/.

Located in Olathe, KS, the Parson’s Gardens will be offering native plants for sale onsite.  They will bring expertise and product and will are equipped to help you with your spring gardening needs.  You can visit them on their website as well.

The Mission land was once covered with our resilient native species. The Mission Rain Garden/Monarch Way Station showcases native plants today. The Mission’s Spring and Fall Native Plant Sales provide the opportunity to acquire these beautiful plants for your own private spaces. There is a wide selection. Come early to get what you want or pre-order and pick up your order at the Sale.

Mission Native Plant Sales also feature a ‘Pop Up’ of the Mission’s Three Springs Market. Find beautiful, unique hand-crafted items you won’t find anywhere else. A great source for gifts.
