Annals of Shawnee Methodist Mission

Published in 1939, the Annals are a condensation of a 465 page manuscript compiled by Martha Caldwell, a member of the Kansas State Historical Society. Reverend Thomas Johnson founded the Mission in 1830. He moved it from what is now Turner in Wyandotte county to its current location in Fairway, Kansas. This is a description of events and the people involved in the Mission including maps and historical photos beginning in 1825 until 1865 and the death of Reverend Johnson.
