Xa Quixe Cortex Bottle

An engineer and an artist in Oaxaca, Mexico have collaborated to form a coop for artists dedicated to creating handblown glassware using environmentally friendly and sustainable methods. All of the glass is recycled and collected from local communities. Even the fuel for the ovens comes from repurposed product or biofuels. Each piece of handblown glass is an example of the dedication and passion that the Xaquixe artists have for their craft. The nature of handblown glassware, with the natural variations in shape and color, allows each piece created to be unique, functional and beautiful.

A beautiful combination of the handblown characteristics of glass with a texture fashioned after the cortex of a tree to create a wonderfully unique jar. 8.5″H x 3″W.
