The Questers is an international organization with a delightfully simple mission statement: “Questers keep history alive by supporting preservation, restoration and education.” Depending on the local chapter, their projects include everything from providing grants for structural repairs of historic sites to stitching costumes for historic enactments to securing authentic furnishings for historic homes. They’ll do whatever it takes to keep historic sights open and attractive to visitors, from school children to research scholars.

We’re happy to announce that the local chapter of Questers has adopted the Mission as one of its chosen sites. And true to form, the Questers have wasted no time translating their interest into action.

The ladies are already producing a collection of handmade felt tree ornaments, garlands, fire-starters and other holiday decorations. These items and other treasures will be on sale at the Three Springs Market boutique at the Mission Christmas Tree Sale.

The designs are original, the handiwork lovely and the project a perfect expression of the Quester mission. It’s a wonderful complement to the Tree Sale and hopefully the first of many collaborations with the Questers.
